Docking Support for Cruise Ship Refuelling
Working closely with Whitaker Tankers, our fleet of vessels are frequently used to support cruise ships in and around the port of Southampton.
Cruise ships typically have bollards on the lower exterior of their hull, and refuelling requires stable and secure mooring. We provide a docking facility for a number of tankers, enabling the vessels to attach themselves to cruise ships upon arrival in the port.
The work is seasonal due to the demand for holiday cruises, but during peak times the work is frequent – as many as 4 jobs per day.
Royal Caribbean has committed to berthing its newest cruise ship Harmony of the Seas in Southampton, and a partnership with Whitaker Tankers will supply the vessel with fuel for the foreseeable future.
