We assisted VBMS (a Boskalis company) in replacing one of 3 subsea cables between Thorness Bay on the Isle of Wight and Lepe, at the mouth of Beaulieu River.
We used our Wilcarry 300 barge and the Willendeavour to carry out this work. These cables supply the Isle of Wight with electricity. The project was the first subsea electrical installation in the Solent for 40 years, and cost over £14 million.
